  • 95 CAM Torque

As you may know, my fresh rebuild lost timing.

As I torqued intake cam 96 ft/lbs, then 90 degrees, at about 80 degrees the cam moved, i don't know if it jumped (I think so), interesting.
I have new bolts and lock rings.

Actually, the belt feels more even tension now then before, I had suspected that it was off one tooth...

    Hopefully all is well.

I suspected poor oil circulation on the first start up, so I pulled the main caps to look at the bearings, looks like I will be OK.

    RE: 95 CAM Torque

I go by feel now, as you dont want the whole setup to move. Technically, you should use the cam gear holder to hold everything in place but after you torque one down like that, you will be pissed off when its time to take them back off.

I actually broke the cam sprocket holder aluminum thing..I can't believe they made that a 1/2 drive with soft aluminum...

Anyways I ended up drilling bolting it to a long bar, now I have some real leverage.
