    For a 1992 Z34

Where is a good spot to put a cutoff switch?
What wire is the best one to splice into, where is it located, and what color is it?

Depends on what you want to cut power to. The entire car? just kill the engine? certain components? just the starter? Little more info please>

There seems to be a pattern there.

I want to cutoff the ignition system so that if someone tries to start the car, the motor won't even turn over. So I guess if I could find the wire that leads to the starter, that would be great. Where is this wire under the dash and what color would it be?

wouln't it be easier to simply put a cut off switch at the battery? It's a easy install and cheap.

You can add a swich to the power going to the coils. Its a pink wire for me I dont no about you. I can also do it with my msd but thats no help to you.

The problem with the battery cutoff is everytime you cut power at the battery, you'd have to reset every other electronic device in the car, radio, DIC etc.
The starter cutoff, is just as easy a cutoff point, everything is inside the car, less wires to run, and less problems with other electronics. If you are lucky at the junk yards, you can sometimes find the cut-off modules from alarms, (little black flat thingy that attaches under the dash) has a plug that you can attach to a keychain, car will only start when the plug is in place. I have one on each of my vehicles, works great.

                Dan.
