The plug was utilized on (at least) 1 Pontiac 1995 LQ1, it went into a sensor adapter on top of power steering pump.
Unrelated, the car also had the 2nd gear start switch.
I took the hood levours and will install onto my 95 MC Z34 hood.
I think there is another mystery plug on the drivers side as well, maybe for tuning or fuel pump?95 MC Z34 Black

Definetly the variable power steering setup. The 95 cutlass convertible has that power steering setup as well but I didn't know they had the wiring for it even if the car isn't equipped with that pump. Odd.
The red wire on the driver side is a test lead for the fuel pump (connect it to power, it runs the pump).Ben
