92 3.4DOHC no start

I just put my motor back in the z34 and found out that my key will not engage the starter/solenoid. I hooked 12V to the small solenoid terminal and the motor started right up so I know the starter/solenoid is good. It can only be one of few things

wiring, neutral/park switch on transmission or, the ignition.

Can anyone give me soe troubleshooting techniques in regards to eliminating the 3 possibilities I just mentioned

Check your ground (and fuses) at the ignition relay fuse box.
