Could it possibly be the thermostat gasket or that shitty quick-release on the coolant line coming out of the manifold? Or maybe that bolt screwing into the manifold it goes into.

Well, the leak is further underneath than the thermostat gasket and quick release. Thanks for the input though.
Well, RollinonZ34 and 93Oldsdroptop, with a second look at the quick connect, the under side of it does look a little corroded. It will at least be a start if nothig else. Thanks again.

could it be running down the lower intake from above and dripping? i'm thinking the o-ring between the plenum and the lower intake.
patgizz, do you mean the old distributor o ring?

nope, there is an o-ring under the throttle body between the plenum and lower intake - coolant for the throttle body heating goes through it. when you bolt the upper intake down the o-ring just is kinda sandwiched in there.

Oooo, that is a definite possibility although I think we put a little bit of silicone around there too when we had the engine apart. This week is really busy so hopefully next week I should be able to get the car apart and look at it. Ill keep you posted. Thanks

Well, I know I said in my last post that I was going to work on my car this week......I didnt make it home at all but next week I should be able to get something done. I just didnt want everybody to think I gave up on the thread. Thanks and I'll be back with at least some sort of diagnosis.

Alright it's time to awaken this thread, haha. Sorry it's taken so long but I've finally got most of the answers:

            1) Mysterious (spewing) coolant leak only when cold - RollinonZ34 was the closest with
And then when it warms up, the Aluminum Head expands and closes or seals up the leak?
            - It turns out that the intake manifold has a crack in it right behind the quick connect which allowed it to leak when cold but seal up due to expansion when it was warm. I will post pics soon.

2)Long start and high rpm stutter - There was practically no fuel pressure either after or before the regualtor. With a new fuel pump and fuel pump strainer it starts with no hesitation. Of course the fuel filter by the tank had also been replaced before we bought a fuel pump.

I just wanted to draw some sort of conclusion for everyone. Thanks to everyone for their help.
