    RE: 93 Lumina z34????

A knock is never good. Depends where it's coming from on what it is. If it sounds like lower end probably a main bearing. If you really want one and it is very clean, I'd say go for it, especially only 500 bux.

If it is clean I would snatch it up instantly for $500. Depending on what it is it may or may not be expensive.

No doubt...for $500 if it is as clean as you indicate, and the engine is toast. You can get far more than your $500 back by parting it out. If you have the time and space for it.

I'd say at $500, that's fairly good, pull the motor/trans, and build it up, and mate a manual trans to it, and you'd have an awesome fun car!

Yeah, the 5-speeds are completely different animals compared to the autos.

For $500 you can make your money back or put in a new motor if you want to do the swap.

Yeah I say only invest the 500 if you plan on swapping the engine and the body would have to be prestine condition. Otherwise... drive it and listen. She may be stupid and actually be hearing the valves tick. Which seems to be normal. Listen to the exhaust too if it sounds irregular then yeah... run or plan on doing a swap.
