Thanks for the reply. That catalog is not very complete or accurate. As far as I know though that is the only place to get part numbers.. I was just wondering if there was a service manual type of thing I can buy to get the numbers? Mechanics must have some sort of resources available to them..?
I'm looking for the same thing.
For the Fiero we have the P22 parts book which has diagrams and part numbers for every single piece of the car. The same must exist for the 3.4 DOHC cars..
Yes, there is a .pdf document I came across while looking for something else. I didn't book mark it, but I can probably find it again. It was a complete build-up manual, including rebuild instructions and hints and complete parts lists. I just assumed all y'll had this here on the site already.

Yeah, that would be sweet.
GM changes part numbers alot though. If you get a part number off your car from back in like '92 and punch it into GMPartsDirect, it won't exist I guarantee it.
The dealers have CD-ROM's with all the part numbers and exploded diagrams for any GM. Best bet would become friends with someone at the dealer and get the CD.

DUHH! Why didn't I think of that before. My oldest bro is a shopforman at local Chevy dealership. I'll check into it.

Wow, that .pdf file would be awesome! It would be cool to get ahold of a CD-ROM though too, anything with some sort of info on it. I would be happy to get part numbers for 90% of the engine and have the rest be wrong.
