I have taken my 3.4L out of my 1992 Z34 and it is currently on an engine stand. I am changing the Head gaskets because they are blown. I am replacing every gasket and seal that I can since I will be having it all apart anyway. Here are a few questions for anyone:
1. How do you keep the lifters in the cam carrier from falling out of the bottom upon cam carrier removal?
2. I noticed that when I set the cams to TDC, all of the factory timing markings align except for the rear cams. They are off by a tooth. When I install my new timing belt, do I have to align the rear cams by the yellow factory markings just like the front cams?
3. I would like to install an oil pressure gauge in my car, where would I connect this gauge on the engine? Which sensor would it connect to? I heard that I have to replace my factory oil pressure switch sensor into an oil pressure sender sensor before I can consider this. Is this true?
