  • Oil Pressure Gauge Pegged....

The gauge reads maxed out at any rpm/engine load when the motor IS running. It also reads ZERO when the ignition is on and the motor ISNT running. Bad sender possibily? I figure it to be the sender because when the motor isnt running it reads ZERO and when the motor is running its maxed out indicating no fluctuation (basically an on/off switch now). Or am I totally off-base here?

Yeah, that sounds like a bad sender. Heard of that happening before when the sender craps out.

Mine bounces when theres a change in throttle. At wot its pegged to its max limit and when driving it spikes all over the place. I'm guessing bad sender too. *Maybe* next time I change my oil I'll replace it, then again I'm broke and lazy so I prolly wont

Since, you have a pressure gauge, the sender, IIRC is around $20. If you just a have an idiot light like me, its like $8
