  • nobody seems to be able to help me!

hey guys, im new to this forum, but i was referred here by someone on preludepower.com. I am workin on a 92 olds achiva with SOHC, and i put a new head on it, but after i put the crankshaft at the mark on the block like the service manual says, how do i know if my cam/valves are matched up to the correct timing since its a freshly rebuilt head, not the old one that was on there. like you should all know, im only gonna have one shot at gettin this right, so i need to make sure i do. lol. any ideas??

there is a hole in the cam sprocket where you can insert a small bolt to hold it in place. install your chain, timing is set... Make sure you rotate teh crankshaft all the way around before you install teh chain, if not you could strip the gears. Its a little tricky but i'm sure you can probably figure it out.

BTW you should have gone to this site www.quad4forums.com not 60degreev6
