  • fuel pressure problem

    just replaced fuel pump car starts and runs but after it run and then sets for awhile its hard too start i notice that when i check the fuel rail strater valve that i dont have alot of pressure there. so iam thiking that the pressure regulator is bad letting the pressure to leak off ? i cheked vac lines at reg and at tank cant find anything. can i please get some help? the car ran fine for the 1st day or 2 the it start spuddering light it wasnt firing on all 6 i replace injector orings plentum gaskets new fuel filter. where coud i be loosing tank pressure car ran fine before pump went bad? help please

    With car off pull the vacuum line off the regulator and watch it for fuel leaking. If none then the diaphram in the regulator is ok. Does your regulator have a snap ring holding the vacuum cover on? Do you have a gauge to check fuel pressure with engine running?

      Might wanna do an injector test if the regulator checks out. If they're leaking, the engine will be hard to start after it's been sitting.

      Found coolant in the oil and metal in the filter.
      Also found a home in the engine compartment for a turbo and intercooler
