  • Gas gauge

With about 1/2 a tank of gas in the car and turning a corner, the gauge goes down almost to zero. When the car is going straight again the gauge is back up to the 1/2 mark. The gauge seems accurate so I'm not ready to blame the float/sending unit, but I was wondering if someone knows if there is a component in the circuit that dampens this movement that I could look for.

    RE: Gas gauge

Sometimes my Olds does the same thing for no apparent reason. Then it doesn't. Very weird. Must be some kind of gremlin living in my gas tank or something.

I have had three w-bodys and they all have done that. They also go twice as far on the first half of the tank than the last half. I have never found a solution for this problem I have just learned to deal with it.
