  • braking problem

latest quirk with my motor. under braking at low speed, the car will cut off.

like if i slow down from 60 to 20 or less

    possible cause?

i am thinking my iac needs to be tweaked a little. i noticed the stocker has a 1/8 or 1/16 hole in it and this one doesn't perhaps maybe that idle screw needs to be turned?

    RE: braking problem

nevrmind i answered my own question. after many adjustments on the idle screw it is doing good on cruising but i haven't tried heavy braking again yet.

moms bravada had a ruptured diaphram in the brake booster, when the brake pedal was depressed, the motor died, might be something to keep on eye on if the heavey braking death happens again.

I had a very similar problem. It was the brake booster. I had a problem finding a junkyard one since I have a 92 and no other years fit. Anyways I paid 10 bucks and lucky enough it was the only thing left in the bay of the donor car. It only took about 30 min. to change. Hope that helps.
