So I was getting all the crap off my 95 Monte's engine to get ready to pull it out. Once I get the alt off I begin wondering if it would fit on the 91 Lumina DOHC I had on the stand. Would you believe it dont fit. It seems the 91 uses a smaller alt. Now I know I need to get a new alt but I was wondering if the harness plug would still fit and if the 91 alt puts out more/ less amps. Now dohcfiend told me I need the crank balancer and sensor from the 95. Is there anything else that may not be a one for one swap?
One last thing... The 91 engine has an oil cooler inline with the oil filter. The 95 dont have one. Does anyone know what lines I need to tap off of to pipe it up? If not will it affect the engine to just not hook it up...
