    ok i am bypassing my cruise and i know i have to hook up the vac lines b/c the heater is in the same vacuum circuit.

    after i took the cc off i noticed not 1 but 2 lines. 1 small one which i believe goes to the heater and another larger one.

    i think i only need one and i guess the other is useless. they both look like they both go to the firewall though.

    my question is which one goes to the heater? and which is useless to me but just fr my knowlege where do they go? or do i hook them both up to vacuum?

    the larger line connects right to the vacuum module, while the smaller one was in a seeries of small lines.

    i think i might have something. i started referencing some gm manuals (all 2 of them) i had laying around banking on the fact gm uses alot of the same shit in different cars. first there was a caprice which uses a fully electronic cruise control. no help there. but i hit up a 3rd gen firebird manual and it had a vacuum cruise similiar to ours. it references a vacuum line that connects to a switch off of the brake pedal to tell the cruise when u push the brakes.

    does this sound right? anyway i will check shortly.

      that seems wierd to me. using vacuum that much, but at one point corvettes had vacuum powered everything. it seems odd they go there and not just use a sensing line from the brake booster. you could just use a vac pump, like the one man brake bleeders, and pump up one of the lines, go inside and turn the heat knob and if it hisses, thats the line you want to keep for sure. i know after i shut my car off if i twist the knob i can hear a little hiss as the line gets vac'd.
