well my car took a poop again...

i was driving fine till something just went out...no noise or nothing, but the car just started to drive like ass...sounded like a lawnmower, buckling on acceleration, and shutting off...

just this morning, i started to move it out of my dad's trucks way and it had a 4 to 1 BANG to it...kinda like

tat tat tat BANG tat tat tat BANG

Any comments or suggestions? Could it be damaged cams/carriers/cogs? I really hope so! *cuz i have some on the way*

Just a shot in the dark but my GTP was doing something like that. Found out there was a fuel injector allowing fuel to the cylinder ALL the time. The fuel ignited on intake and exhaust strokes.

What is your exhaust like, mine smelled like raw fuel and cloudy.

YOU FOOL!! DON'T RUN THE ENGINE LIKE THAT
Unless you want to cause TONNES more problems with it!!!

I hope you realize what detonation is????
When your piston is starting the upstroke, there is combustion in the cylinder, which makes the piston fight against 5 (or 3) other pistons, and will usually cause a nice big BOOOM. Don't start that sucker up until you fix that, or you'll regret it!

turns out one coil was bad though i suspect the ICM is also bad...had then all checked at autozone. The car now runs, have new BOSCH platinum plugs in there, new coil and the car vibrates alot. Cleaned the IAC, same vibrations...ran some fuel cleaner, tb cleaner, still same thing. Vibratinos are strong enough to be felt thru gas pedal, steering wheel, plus the whole interior rattles a bit

Oh yeah, to unflood the engine, just go WOT and crank the engine...read it on the DRIVEVABLILITY AND EMSSIONS gm manual.

Severe detonation can blow a hole in your piston.. or wreck other parts
