  • 94 Grand Prix 3.4L - much better, but still needs help.

After doing the lower manifold and Plenum gaskets, and a couple more vacuum lines, it seems like all vacuum related prob's are gone. But - car is still lacking in power (but shows flashes of brilliance), and especially bucks/surges often on highway at lowest cruising rpm, with converter locked up properly. Acceleration is intermittent, too. I think it's a fuel supply problem, leaning towards fuel pump (have to get my pressure guage back to check fuel pressure). Local dealer doesn't think filter screen in pressure regulator would do this, and problem was still noticeable after I changed the main fuel filter. With all the vacuum problems now gone, this should be the last one (plugs, wires, etc. all also done ). Does anyone know if the IAC or TPS could be at fault, or perhaps something else in the Injector circuit (local dealer says best way to test injectors is with Plenum off car, and some special tools - is a possibilty). We talked about timing belt being off a tooth, but problem seems different than bad/poor timing. Any suggestion(s) would be appreciated (wish we had OBD-II). Thanks.
