Can you straight up swap a 3.4 from a 91 Lumina to 95 Monte? If not what would have to be done? Will 95 cam carriers still bolt up to a 91 head? How about computers? Thanx for any info!

off the top of my head you will need the MAF from a 95, also you need to switch the MAP sensor with a plastic piece on the 94-95 that has 2 vacuum ports in it, you will need to switch cam carriers for the cam sensor or maybe the 91-93 cam carriers might have a spot to which to bolt in the 94-95 cam sensor but i doubt that will be something you will have to check on. lastly, you will need to switch the crank sensor and harmonic balancer. that's all i can think of off the top of my head.The Official Rotating Mass Nazi -
So a '91 engine didn't use cam sensors and different crank sensor? I thought 3.4 engines didn't have a harmonic balancer... I must be nuts.. LOL. But all in all this should be an easy swap it seems. I'll have a complete '95 and a complete '91 to work with so I'll need to puzzle it out. LOL!Comment

i am not 100% on the cam sensor issue, i seen it mentioned in another thread. so i felt it deserved repeating. i have never owned a 91-93 but the cam sensor on the 94-95 is located right next to the top of the front valve cover on the driver's side.The Official Rotating Mass NaziComment
