  • how cool does your engine run....

ever since i replaced my heater core it went from 210 to the tick right above 100 so between 100 and 210. I kinda find that odd.

Mine doesn't go above the second notch unless I have been driving for a while and am sitting in traffic and even then it might make it up to the middle line but for the most part it is just in between the first notch and second notch.

Mine barely surpasses the first mark. Even after the trip all the way to El Paso, TX at 105mph cruise control, with AC on, it still never passed the 2nd mark.

highway(~100mph)/cruising/driving nicely its at or below the second tick.

Idling/driving like a maniac/average stop and go traffic is at the halfway tick usually, with the coolair short ram it was always below the second tick no matter how hard i drove it.

Once or twice she made it past the halfway tick, i can't remember what was broken, oh yeah, the radiator... :P

When my TDC was in service I gave it a run up the Catskills. About 75 degrees out, had the AC on, and 2nd gear was the name of the game that day. The damn thing near over heated. A 3.1T cutlass zoomed by me as I waited for my pos to cool off. Just didn't like the mountains...I had to flog it alot to get it go. Normally temp wise it ran cool, though you wouldn't think that if you ever opened the hood after just running down the street, damn thing radiates heat like base board ....

I know that is weird isn't it?!?!?!?

The motor gets SOOOO hto, yet the water temp isn't that bad. This is why those louvers are like a Godsend, I'd hate to see how hot mine rna without them.

My GTP ALWAYS sits right at 150 +/- 5 Although I haven't realy gotten on it hard with a lot of the options running. Going to wait till summer for that.
