Dont start after 13* retard Bens style. Ben help!!!

I retimed the cams as Ben posted in the site. I used the new timming marks that Ben posted. Now the engine dont start. Here a wav file of how it sound.

Also when taking the engine out somehow the crank sensor wire stock somewhere in the car and the plug came off. I tryed to place them back in the plug but not success. I put black electrical tape in the tips to insulate them and hook it up in the DIS for testing. Anyway it wont fire up. Its possible that the crank sensor could be damage? How can I test it? Also I tested the cranck sensor wires and have continuity.

Its a 96 engine.

A 96 engine doesn't have the stock timing of 91-95, so I wouldn't use 13 degree retard on the 96-97 motors. Its probably a bad wire and the cam timing is very extreme compared to what I am running.

But this dosn't really mean that the cam timing is the result of his car not working? And since it's retarded (lol) I guess it IS do able in a 96 engine.

I had the timming retarded before just not at the specs that appears in the site. Also its possible that I retarded the intake 2 much. I had it retarded before but with the new setigs i put it a lil back more.

Any thoughts?

Well, the 96 cam timing is Intake 108° Crank centerline, Exhaust 115° Crank centerline. 91-95 is Intake 112 Exhaust 111. That means to get back to stock 91-95 timing, you would need to advance the intake 4 degrees and retard the exhaust 4 degrees. To try the same cam timing then, its advance the intake 4 degrees retard the exhaust 17 degrees. The other timing I have heard someone use and like the results was retard exhaust 7, advance intake 6. This would be 2 degrees advance for the 96 and retard the exhaust 11 degrees. Hope that helps.

Now i has -6In -13Exh(91-95 timming). That explain why dont start.

Thanks Ben, I will let you know how it worked. Also I dont ferget about the chip I asked you to make for me. Just have some situations arround and cant spend money w/o justify. I dont have a job right now and have to put the car on the street again to be able to get a job.

BTW, here is a pic of my engine out, you can see the headers very good in this pic.

Now Im confused, if to reach 0* on intakes I have to advance 4*, to reach +6* i will have to advance 10*. Right? 4*(default) + 6* = 10*!?

Ok, tried +4*in and -17* exh and apparently a valve hit a piston. Back to the drawing board.

Any sugestion?

Stock? hahaha, i dunno, im surprised it hit though but thats good to know. Perhaps leave the intake and retard the exhaust 11 degrees? Its really just guessing and we really need to send a set of cams out to get the full story on their stock specs.

OH BOY!!! There is something very wrong. I put the intake in 0 and the exhaust on-9*. Anyway its hitting something. I started to try to look in the intake ports and found some smeril close to one valve. Take the plug out and had aparently oil and gas. Also when take the headers off for ceramic coating I notices that the exhaust ports from that bank had someting diff in the black buildup. Like a path of something more thick, like burned oil. But since wasnt smoking I though was just me. Now it refuse to pass certain point while manualy crank it. But when I tryed to fire up the engine it moved, as in the wav file. Now im uber conffused. Dont know what to do. I cant rebuild a practically new engine if its the case nor have the tools and equipment or money. Holy crap batman.
