freeze plug question

The engine is out so.....Brass or Steel plugs? I guess brass b/c it is more expensive. Also how many will I need? Is there a difference between the head and block plugs? Install methods?

Anybody? Well, I guess you just pop em out and install new ones with a special glue.

Ask the guy at the parts counter what to use on them. I would think some sort of pipe sealant would do the job. If they don't leak, leave them go. They are not actually "freeze" plugs, they just close the holes in the block that are used to clean out the block after casting.
