Kind of a shot in the dark, but I have 2 explanations.

1)I also have a wire/connector that doesn't have a plug. Maybe its for an auto, I don't know, but it is just hanging below my intake. Probably not your issue, and it hasn't affected my car(as far as I can tell, no SES).

2)Look closely at the throttle body. I have a sensor that sits behind and below the throttle body, just to see it I had to get a mirror. Anyways I always forget to plug it in, but I can't remember what it is.

Either way probably not your problem, but you may want to look.

I would try disconnecting the battery and letting the computer clear the codes and then see if it still trips the SES.

That could be your pump for the windshield fluid

Aaron, thats one of two .. right under the Idle Air Control (IAC valve) IIRC is the Throttle Position Sensor (TPS) .. But below that, is a coolant temperature sensor .. this will do two things .. (1) Pop an SES code, and (2) your cooling fan(s) will CONSTANTLY run.

I have a 5spd too .. and I grabbed that harness (injectors and other sensors) from an AUTO Cutlass, and all my plugs are in ..[/quote]

Yes .. Use a paperclip or a piece of wire .. fold it like a "U" and place one end into terminal "A" and other end into "B" .. then turn your key into the ON position, without cranking it. The SES light will begin flashing three times and you count the flashes .. you get the code 12 which is normal, and after 12 flashes three times, then you can pull the actual problem code out. I attached picture, it has been awile, so its either terminal A + B or A+M ..

No itiof those, but I thinl while pulling my red car apart I figured out which one it is, I'll check.

To clarify some about the flashing.

The SES light will flash once and paues, then it will flash twice and pause(This is where you get the 12 from), then it will flash once, and pause, then twice and pause. It will give you the 12 three times when you start, and 3 times when you're finished. In between is where you look. For a 42 it will flash 4 times and pause, then twice and pause, then 4 and pause, then 2 and pause and so on after it gives you a 42 three times. It really is easy once you've done it b4.

I use a paperclip to get the U-shape.

oh yeah in 94 some of the 12 pin diagnostic ports dont have provisions for you to do this trick
my 94 retta doest but i took it to advanced and they had the proper scanning equipment and pulled the codes for me

shouldve never messed with the MAF honestly. such an incredibly touchy sensor and you definately messed it up somehow....in my opinion.
