    Were can i get info on doin steering rack bushings...im gettin rattle over bumps which i believe is coming from my steering rack.... 3.4 dohc automatic car...

    Is this a hard job?

    It would probably be easier just to put in a new rack (rebuilt). I think that they are like 80 bucks US. By the time you finished fighting with the bushings, you will probably wish you had just changed the whole thing.

      The rack mount bushings really don't fail on these racks. Check for inner and/or outer tie rod play (more than likely), check the sway bar bushings, balljoints, strut cartridges, even the control arm bushings (but not very likely)
