  • Car Dead each day

    All,

I have a 3.4L 95 Olds drop top that dies each day.
Once the car is on, its good and runs well. If its left overnight without being turned on the battery is dead and has be charged.

Any known issues that draw power on this engine ?

    Troubleshooting ideas ?

    thanks

well...got that prob once...so what i can tell ya...check that all your "trunk"light are closing ,under hood one,,,if you have light mirror on the "sun stopper"(sorry,i dont know how to say it in english)the switch went wrong on mine so the light was always on..draining the battery, might have bad contact on the switch in yur interior light(the one on the back ,if you have a 4 doors)..beside those, bad ground...or electric problem...wich is a pain in the ass to find....
    hope it help a bit..
might be alternator not putting enough volt/watt to charge battery, but just enough to keep car running,or check all batery-alternator connection for corosion or "vert de gris"..dunno in english that one.

ps.did you try with another battery.??might be cause yurs is no longer able to keep a charge...
    grandpa car with attitude!
