Down to the pistons...now what?

Don't the SBC rods need to be machined a bit thinner to fit?
And I am pretty interested in seeing a pic or two of the stock oil pump for this motor if anyone can get one or two; especially if they are taking it apart! I might have a hint for them. And a key question: is it at ALL like the SBC oil pump? (he said hopefully)
I have two of these in my garage at the moment but I am not at that point of my swap yet AND (more to the point) it is about -25F out there at the moment; kinda cures my curiousity for now..... !!!

But if for some reason you are asking me, then mine are both 92 vintage; one is from a manual and one an auto.
but I guess that makes me ask if there is a difference in oiling systems and/or pumps from year to year?
I guess that is good to know, too.

my car is a 1995 Monte Z34....Black on black. Also has a modified center console that lifts right off one on ebay is going for like 65 bucks right now, rather spend the money on engine.

I'm going to bring the heads into the shop to get cleaned and a valve job right after Christmas.
