  • what will i need?

I have a '95 GTP and its been running like crap lately, not to mention im only hitting 17 miles per gallon I know that the intake gasket needs changed...its bubbling up when i put water on it. My dad is coming down to visit me next month and told me he would help me change it out along with the timing belt (its due). Can someone be kind enough to link me to a site or something where i can have the parts delivered to my house? i guess im going to need gaskets and a timing belt but where can i get the tensioners and the hold down tool? Does autozone do the lend a tool on it? Thanks in advance!

Yah you might want to repost this into DOHC Maintance, or Pushrod maint depending on what ya have.

Autozone will not have the cam hold down tools, but you can find them on Ebay sometimes. I do not know how mechanically inclined you are, but if you are, you can make them yourself.

As for the gaskets delivered, any online parts store will do that.

www.gmpartsdirect.com has the timing belt, idler pullies, and tensioner. You will probably want to replace all the of the timing components since they have been known to crap out at high milage. I don't remember the place to buy just the cam hold down tool but I know there is one. You can also just make one yourself, the instructions are on this site as well as all the part numbers for the cam timing stuff.
