    There is on a 3.4L. It may not be the pump itself, maybe more oil volume will help it not dry out the bearings, but we will see.

      I don't think there is a problem with the stock pump on the DOHC... I think yours was a fluke. I've, personally, never heard of another causing the same problem you had. Blanket statements are teh devil@!

          Now if I was to run to 8k, spinning the pump that much faster, putting that much more oil to the top side, but also having a quart more to draw from, I do not think I will have any problems. You seem to think that the 3.4 pump is adaquate, which it may be. When i get time to pull this damn motor apart, I am going to see how much different the 660 pumps are from the SBC/N*.
