I had the same problem with stalling and when i cahnged my clutch and did my timing it stopped completely. all i can say if it is idling below 1000 rpm raise your idle with the set screw till it hits 1000 rpm.GM Goodwrench Tech - GM Certified

You don't change the idle with the throttle stop screw. The computer controls the idle via the IAC (idle air controller). If you set the stop screw so the throttle is cracked open, the IAC will try to compensate. If you go to far, it will throw a code. The computer also retards timing trying to lower the idle speed to what it is set to in the computer.Ben

Turns out my stalling problem on the 92 was 2 things. The alt, and the vacuum line that hooks to the FPR came unhooked somehow. Fixed it, and now the lights are nice and bright again, even at idle with the fogs burning, and the stereo bumping, and no more stalling, thank heavens!-60v6's 2nd Jon M.

Ok hey guys.
This is Aaron from the w-body forums-I'll behave.
Anyways, my car does this religiously. I took it to the dealer, they charged $250-replacing my IAC, and all vacuum hoses. Didn't do a damned thing. So now I've been thinking about it. I hit the headlights at idle, and the car's idle dropped bad. It is a charging problem. Ever since the battery in the trunk, and the UD pulley, the car is doing it. I think I'm gonna put my old pulley back on to see. Then we will see if it fixes it. i thought it may be the EGR, cuz the chip turned it off, so i had Ben replace the EGR-didn't help. I'm also worried its charging cuz the blinkers do hell to my idle. We all know the gauge is off, but it jumps around 200 either side of 800 when the blinker is on.
I just wanted to help out, as there aren't a lot of 5-speeds and it seems many of us are having this problem of stalling. I'll watch my comments on this board for sure.

I highly doubt your stalling problem is a result of the battery being in the trunk or the UD pulley. I have both of those and i dont have a single problem. Make sure your wire to the battery is making good contact and make sure you have a good ground. a bad ground will screw a lot of things up.

I have doubts too-many people are using your products succesfully(including yourself) but it is worth a try and it isn't that hard to change. I have good contact with the battery and a good ground, checked those. I do not have a SES light either.
I am also going to take off the fuel rail cover and check that the vacuum hose going to the FPR is attached well, which I believe it is, but also worth a try.
