alright i have a 1993 z-34 and i'm having some problems. my car likes to run hot in city traffic right. i've tried driving with the heat on but that doesn't help. the only thing that seems to keep it cool is to turn the a/c on. could there be a bad sensor or bad fan motors or what? oh does anyone know how much a dealer would charge to replace my timing belt?

OK, You're not making much sense, because A/C will only make your car run hotter. Maybe your water pump is going. I'd check that and also flush your rad and change the coolant. Another thing is clean out the rad really good, make sure that the fins are all clean and not plugged. Be sure that the fans are kicking on when your car heats up as well, make sure that they both turn on when your car gets into high temps. Because it's a dual fan system and the fans are individually controlled. If one or both doesn't turn on you will over heat, it could be a bad sensor or a faulty relay.
About the cam timing, the dealer will probably charge you between $500.00 and 800.00USD for the work. Plus they will probably just farm it out to a private mom & pops garage anyway. I'd do it myself if I were you, it's not that hard to do, and total parts will cost less than $200.00. All instructions are here to do it properly.
