Hi,
The 1995 and 1997 3.4 DOHC alternators are the same, but the 1995 has 2 wires from voltage regulator: one is for the light discharge indicator and the other is connected to 15 A fuse in the Electrical Center.
In the 1997 engine, the same alternator has 1 wire only (light indicator). Any one knows why?
What happens if the 1995-97 alternator is used into 1995 engine / ECM, but with the light indicator wire only? It will work?
(mine has the fuse wire broken)
