Ten dollars a quart... twenty dollars to completely fill an empty transaxle. It's not like it'll totally break the bank.

            Redline Synthetic

I put some redline synthetic in mine and seems to work pretty good.
It was recommended by several places I went to even the GM guys said it was good for those trannies.

            My 2 cents

Your keyboard must be broken to have that many typos! :P

I've never heard of neo. I tried redline in my 284 and it shifted like shit with it. I drained it the very same day and refilled with GM synchromesh, nothing better. The 282 in my Beretta seems to be doing ok on the Penzoil synchromesh (supposedly equivalent to GM); shifts just fine so far and it does cost about 1/2 of the price of the genuine GM stuff. The way I see it the Penzoil stuff is ok for my 282 but not good enough for my 284

Alcohol does that sometimes, that is going to be my guess of why his English looks like espanole.

I've never had anything but GM synchromesh in mine, so I really couldn't say. But for as hard as I am on my tranny, I'm surprised its held up as well as it has.

I tried the Mobil Synthetic in the 91 when the axle seals went bad (didn't change them when I did the swap because they looked ok). Then I used the Valvoline synthetic. Neither made it operate anything close to the GM Syncromesh, so that is all I use in both of my cars now.
