I've used nothing but MObil 1 synthetic in my old and new motors, and they both stalled/still stall.
*EDIT*I'm thinking with the new intkae however that the stalling might be fixed. Due to the fact that I will be using a mechanical idle and not the IAC and new, bigger, better injectors. It's idle won't be nice, but I do not expect it to stall. THis will tell us if it has somehting to do with our fuel injectors or our IAC.
