I currently have the plenum off of my 3.4 DOHC. The inside of it is filthy, what is a good cleaning product to use on it without harming anything?

I used Brake Cleaner and carb cleaner on mine, cleaned up fine. this would be a good time to replace the PCV and the brake booster hose.. the stocker gets squishy and your brakes are really hard cause the hose collapses and you lose your brake boost.

Easy Off oven cleaner. You should have a hose nearby, and do your best to just spray inside the runners and not on any bare aluminum. It foams up and bubbles and will eat the carbon right off....you'll probably see it the black/brown start running out of the ports. At that point (even if it doesn't run, let it sit no more than a few minutes) blast the shit out of the runners with a high pressure setting and make sure you get ALL of it...this stuff is nasty on aluminum but if it's only on there long enough to eat away the carbon, it's all good. Repeat if necessary but like I said, be mindful of how long it's on there and rinse it off WELL.
Have done it on aluminum manifolds before with no problems. It's quick and requires the least amount of elbow grease.
Wear gloves and safety glasses.
