  • 3.4 DOHC mount rear. Why 3 bolts/studs?

    Anyone can help me?

I'm curious about the 1995 3.4 DOHC engine mount rear right, because it has 3 bolts/studs at top, but the engine/tranny bracket has only 2 holes for bolts/nuts. Then why this engine mount came with three bolts????

    Thanks in advance.

Haha, thats funny, I just put my motor back together with new mounts and I noticed the same thing! I'm guessing its because the same mount was used for the 4T60E, the 284 and the 3speed auto which escapes me. One of those transmissions may have had a different bracket.

The 284 has a completely different mount than the auto cars.
