.250 running? How about Hertz? .250 shouldn't be causing it to flood.

You can see the FPR without removing anything but the plastic cover over the rail. If I had my car here, id snap a pic.

I can see the FPR no problem, I've replaced it already. Just wondering if I need to remove it to adjust the pressure?

        No, just turn the screw.

I'm not sure where this screw is. I thought you might have meant on the front of the FPR, but there's no screw.

there isn't a torx head inside the hole in the center of the cap?

If the torx screw is missing this could very well be why the fuel pressure is so high. If I recall correctly you back out the screw to up the pressure, so with the screw missing it might be at its maximum.

I have a 96 regulator in my parts bin somewhere if you need it.

Ya, no torx screw, and neither did the one I replaced. If you have an extra I could really use it.

I have a few bins of parts big and small, I'll do some digging tonight.

Do you guys think that could be enough to flood the car though? Potentially it could be going higher than 60psi at the rail. I don't have a pressure gauge myself.

If it is holding the injectors open, certainly. It wouldn't cause the computer to command 60-80 ms though.

If you don't have a fuel pressure gauge you won't be able to set the fuel pressure even if you had the screw in the regulator. It isn't as if X number of turns on the screw = X psi. You need a pressure gauge to know when to stop adjusting it. If you have an Autozone up there (not sure if they are in Canada) they have a loaner tool program, you just leave them a deposit and get a 100% refund when you return the tool. Or buy one, they're around $20 US.

No Autozones around where I am, but that being said, Canadian Tire does a tool loan program, not sure if they have fuel pressure gauge but we'll see.

But on a totally separate note, I got the car running last night. And the cause of all of this is pretty damn embarrassing. I had the front valve cover off yesterday, just double checking again the cam flats positioning to TDC. This time, the front flats were down and guess what? I had the cams reversed, intake and exhaust swapped. Swapped them back to their proper place, re-timed the engine, put everything back together and voila! I have a running car. Since I've been meddling with this car so much I've damaged the TB adapter gasket so it has a little leak and obviously isn't running exceptionally. Replacement gasket is on its way from the US.

I'm going to find out if Canadian Tire loans out the pressure gauge, I still don't like that I'm getting 60psi to the rail.
