Is it just over a foot long? The only thing I can make of it is the transmission oil cooler that lives in the radiator.

Actually I just went to their site and read this:

        ACDELCO Part # 52400408 {#52489165} replaces 52489165
        COOLER,ENG OIL w/4-SPD AUTO TRANS(M13); RADIATOR

I think they should be a little more clear on that one...

That's definitely the best shot of it yet. Doesn't look too complicated, though finding the right hose might not be easy.

My crate engine did not come with the cooler, but my junk motor had one. Somewhere I came across a pair of NOS hoses a few years back, so I guess they're still out there. If you can't find them, I'm sure that a search at a parts store will find substitutes. I remember the one on the right is a squared "U" shape and that a piece of straight hose will probably fit. The bottom section of the one on the left is more than a 90*, so it may need to be pieced together from a couple of different hoses.

This shows the hoses and one part number is listed (the more complicated of the two):

http://parts.nalleygmc.com/showAssem...ssembly=401508 (You may have to open this link in a new window to get it to work).

The GM part number for the hose shown on the left is 10131032. GM Parts Direct has it for $7.00.

Thanks for the detective work sspeedstreet, but I got a "part not found" on a GMPD search... got a link?

I tried to save the link, but it would only open up the GMPD home page. Let me try again.

OK, from the GMPD home page, scroll down to the orange bar that reads "Click here to browse the parts catalog" Click it.

                      Agree to its terms.

In the light blue box, the bottom half, put in the part number, choose Chevrolet/Geo for the make and click the "Part number search" option.

                      Click the bottom "Search".

Awesome, found it. You wouldn't happen to have the part number for the cooler itself, would you?

52400408. Says $100.00 plus change for it. I have a Corvette unit, but I think the coolant nipples are in a different orientation. I'll take a look tonight.

That's the weird part that RockAuto sent me, and definitely isn't the right part number (see pg.2)

Sorry, I didn't pick up on that from page 2. So what did they set you? I'm not seeing any picture.

No idea what it was, but it went back to them.
