are the computers compatable from the 3.4 and 3.1... i was told that they are as long as u switch the chips. So i was wondering if this was correct before i go to the junk yard.

Only the 3.1's in late 93 that had the 4t60e tranny. The regular 3.1 ECM is 1227727 and the DOHC is 16149396 -
But the DOHC 396 will work in place of the regular 3.1 727. Only the 3.1s with the 4t60e (93) with the 396 will work with the DOHC (because it too uses the 396).-60v6's 2nd Jon M.

No. You must use a 9396 ECM.Comment
