Recently bought a 95 GTP with 150K for cheap knowing the engine had an oil and coolant leak. Replaced upper/lower manifold gaskets and distributor plug seal(without removing right head) but the coolant leak may not be resolved. There is excessive exhaust vapor and the previous owner stated that they "used a lot of bars leak". The coolant is very tan/brown and the heater core is plugged. I'm thinking the left head gasket is going. The #5 plug had a little rust so I'll looking at replacing the head gaskets or a used engine. Any thoughts???

The coolant is brown and the heater core is plugged because of the bars leak. It stops leaks by plugging up the cooling system with sludge. When you do the head gaskets try to flush out the block, radiator, and heater core as best as possible, but they may be ruined.Jesse M.
