It's not important if you don't have emissions and aren't a tree hugger. All it does is inject air into the exhaust stream to get the cat warmed up to it's efficiency temperature faster. If you are too concerned about what it's doing to the air, you can hook it back up or buy some carbon credits. I removed mine from the 92. It removed weight and quieted the car down on startup since the pump made a low tone while running. I don't remember if it set a code but since I have chip tuning equipment/software, I turned it off in the ECM as well.-60v6's 2nd Jon M.

Is there a way to shut it off on OBD-II? I know the code can be shut off with a DHP (which I have), but that's not going to stop the PCM from trying to run it and I could see this messing up fuel trims as it thinks the pump is there.Jesse M.
