  • 94 Z34 timing belt problems

We replaced the timimg belt in my 94 z-34 3.4 DOHC. I dont know how, but we timed the engine wrong, and it runs like shit now. I am taking it to the chevy garage on friday, cuz timed to to more times and it still runs like crap, no power. My question is Did we fuck the valves on the motor?

You probably had both banks of cams face up, and not 180 degrees from each other. When you tighten down one set of cam gears, your supposed remove the hold down tool for that set of cams, then turn the crank over 1 revolution, to TDC, then tighten down the other set. Did you do it this way?

I did it once after working my ass off all day, tired as hell, drove an hour to Ben's, then did my belt. It felt like it actually had more torque down low running as a double 3 cyl.
