ok heres the situation i rebuilt my engine and dropped it back in the car and hooked everything up how i should have or so i thought the engine cranks but is slow is there any common problems with these cars not starting after a rebuild and what r some things i should check

I would make sure grounds and the area where the starter meets the block are clean and free of paint and oil and go from there.-60v6's 2nd Jon M.

Also maybe try it without the accessory belt. I know someone with a Lumina (3x00) that the AC compressor froze and it made the car act like a bad battery or starter. Maybe even toss a ratchet on the crank pulley and see if it's harder to turn over by hand then it should be.-60v6's 2nd Jon M.

I think it was the bearings for the pulley, so in theory the actual compressor itself could have still been fine.-60v6's 2nd Jon M.
