crank no start need help

ok heres the situation i rebuilt my engine and dropped it back in the car and hooked everything up how i should have or so i thought the engine cranks but is slow is there any common problems with these cars not starting after a rebuild and what r some things i should check

I would make sure grounds and the area where the starter meets the block are clean and free of paint and oil and go from there.

What's the cranking compression AFTER you fix the slow cranking?

Also maybe try it without the accessory belt. I know someone with a Lumina (3x00) that the AC compressor froze and it made the car act like a bad battery or starter. Maybe even toss a ratchet on the crank pulley and see if it's harder to turn over by hand then it should be.

well it was a little stiff while i was tring to bolt the tc to the flexplate but everything was on the engine at the time so that could explain that but idk i have an oil leak behind my oil cooler b4 i can fix my no start and the ac compressor would only matter if it was a variable displacement compressor and not a on/off clutch style. unless your friend compressor clutch siezed

I think it was the bearings for the pulley, so in theory the actual compressor itself could have still been fine.
