  • Testing Fuel Injectors, shorted out injector?

I have an 8 page thread going on my stalling no power issues. Before I change the fuel pump wanted to test the injectors.

So I bought an Actron CP7677 which is an mulitmeter & troubleshooter. SO please let me know what I need to do to test the injectors to see if I have one that is shorted out or to be able to see if injector are getting spark.

Started a new thread cause I couldnt find on steps to test injectors & thought it may help someone down the road.

    Thanks

**Meant to post in the DOHC maint section**

the injectors should read around 12 ohms across the leads, any lower than 11.5 and i'd replace it.

You can use your multimeter, but it's not going to refresh fast enough to give an accurate reading. Best idea for what you have is to stay with the noid light. I built one for this same reason.

the only thing that noid light is going to tell you is if the injector driver is working in the ECM, if you want to test the injectors you have to check the resistance of the coil.
