The cranking when heated up could be a starter going bad (heat soak), or a cable. I would peel some of the insulation back on the battery cables to see if there is some corrosion in them (corrosion increases resistance to electricity flow). My 92 had corrosion about 3 inches down the cable so I replaced the wires and it works great now. 40-80 psi of oil pressure is normal for these engines. I know some old v8 guys will say that's high, but we have 24 big bucket style lifters to feed too. Both of mine have run around in this range depending on temperature/rpm ever since I have had them. The ether deal almost sounds like you have a fueling issue at startup... but I've no idea what would cause it to be ok once it gets running. Odd...
