Question : Loud Rattle when A/C turned on 1992 3.4 DOHC Z-34

Today I started hearing a loud rattle from under the hood. I turned off the A/C and it went away. The car seems to be running fine. However, every time I turn on the A/C I hear the loud rattle and air coming out is not cold.

It is very hot outside and I am not sure what to do because I am supposed to take a long trip for work tomorrow. Has anyone else run into this problem? If so, what is going on and how do I fix it as inexpensively as possible.

Sounds like maybe the bearings in the compressor are bad. Hard to tell without hearing it.

It was the compressor. The compressor was replaced and AC seems to work fine. However, whenever I depress the clutch at a stoplight or stop sign...or to take a curve, the car stalls out and dies. Does anyone know what is going on?

sounds like a shorted wire.. look under the car and make sure when you got the compressor replaced the crank sensor wire didnt get pinched or something...

Does it only stall when the clutch is pushed in? Even while sitting still at idle, but fine otherwise?
