Question : o2 sensor?

hey guys,question for ya.
could the o2 sensor on my 91 or 92 z34 cause my cars not to start withoutmaking the ses light come on?
also,i just put a set of 2.5inch magnacrap mufflers on my car a week ago.could they cause something to not work and kill my engine?

O2 sensor is ignored for quite some time from a cold start(~3 minutes when below a certain temp) and for a good 8 seconds IIRC from a hot start, so no, i don't see the O2 being the cause of this...

while the BLM data does get saved to battery backed up RAM, it's ignored during cranking...

but just for assurance, pull the fuse for the ECM in the little fuel pump relay box on the driver's side(if it's like a 90 3.1), and the fuse in the glovebox/passenger cabin for the ECM for a couple of minutes. put them back in and see what happens when you try and start it.
