  • Flush Before Intake/Head gasket Replacement

I wanted to flush out the contaminated oil in my 3.1 before replacing the Int/Hd gaskets. I changed the oil and filter, started the car and ran it for about 2 minutes. Looking into the oil fill hole, I saw no oil coming from the rockers that I could see.
    Should I be able to?
I'm afraid the lifters are plugged.

No you usually can't see anything. Are the lifters making a lot noise?

      No noise at all.
      That's great news.
I will proceed with the tear down then.
