I meant gallons, not dollars. If its truly a 1/4 tank when you fill it, now we are looking at ~12.75 gallons, which works out to ~17-18mpg.

Replace the O2 sensor. My 3100 used to use 1/2 a tank for about a 60miles highway and about 15miles in town. After I changed it, BIG difference, more power, and the car didn't smell rich either any more.

Don't put in a bosch O2 though. Stick with AC Delco, or Denso. http://www.sparkplugs.com had a good price on a Denso direct replacement for my car. Check there.

Vibration: Possibly a wheel bearing, jack the car up (properly with jack stands) and grab the top and bottom of the tire, rock it and see if there is any play in the wheel bearing. It could also be a CV axle that is worn out. Or it could even be a sagging engine or transmission mount. Look how close the trans and engine is to the subframe. I had a big time shake/vibration like the tires were out of balance only at certain loads and it was my trans mount. The transmission was hitting the subframe under load.

Yeah I knew that the newer ones were. Much like the spark plugs are NGK. Are the original (94-95 era) O2s and plugs re-branded as well?

original ones? as in 15 year old O2 sensors? hell if i know, that's a long time in the supplier world. ACDelco seems to change oil filter manufacturers every couple of years, so i imagine the O2s could be the same...

What's the problem with Bosch O2's? I've run one for a long while without problems. Ben even tuned both of my cars with them.

A number of people have had them fail fairly quickly. My Bosch lasted about a year then I started to get an SES light for improper O2 heating, swapped with a Denso and it's been fine since.

heated O2s are supposed to last longer than a non-heated....

there is at least one OBD1 application i can think of that came with heated O2s from the factory... and it involves a 4.3 and a hairdryer...
