  • Timing Belt Tensioner

Where can I get a new timing belt tensioner for my 1995 Chevy Monte Carlo 3.4L DOHC V6? I tried rock auto and it appears as though they only have "timing sets," which consist of the 3 assorted idlers. I need the part that puts tension on the idler which puts tension on the belt. Any ideas where I can get this... napa, autozone, and rock auto have let me down?

      Thank you,

I got the part! Now, I am in the process of installing it. Since its brand new, do I need to load it with oil, or just install it and pull the pin?

Do it like a grenade, install it and pull the pin. It is prefilled with oil already, but next time you change the belt be sure to check the oil level.
