96 intake swap question? Heater core?

Just have the lim welded like I do for bve, it was cake. !!!!!!

I would weld it but then i have to pull that shyt back out and get new intake gaskets...

Im sure a metal freeze plug pressed in will hold... they hold everywhere else on the engine...

When you tap that in, it might crack that aluminum casting since its kinda thin right there. Giver it a try, it might work. I highly suggest welding it shut..... it will prevent any future failures.

7/8" freeze plug did the trick... With a little honda bond gooped around the sides for a little extra sealing..

BTW! i Fukn hate the factory hose clamps (Ones you have to squeeze together) on all the little hard to reach hoses!!!!

hahah yea they are a pain, but their purpose supersedes the pita removal.


How small is that downpipe?

2.5" crush bent... it actually doesn't narrow down to bad.. one of these days i will get it redone in stainless mandrel... (getting sick of working on cars lately so won't be for a while). x-over is 2.25" mandrel

found a few wires that are starting to get a little melty lol... need more header wrap..

A good coat of ceramic exhaust paint wouldn't hurt either... if you can remove it easily to do it.
