  • Question : sensor

    hey guys, im sure most of you know that the knock sensor is on the block closest to the firewall, with another sensor a few inches away, what sensor is that one? also the wire harness plugged in, it seems to be a dubble sided plug, both he same, i pluged the one side in, where does the otherone go? to the module? please let me know guys, thanx.

    The crank sensor is higher up on the block. You could be looking at the vehicle speed sensor . There aren't any other sensor on that side I can think of.

      He's looking at the oil pressure sensor, if it's on the same side as the knock sensor (front on my car)

        the oil preassure sensor i know where that is, im looking at the other side of the block, thers a knock sensor. and the crank sensor that slide into the block, inches away from the knock sensor, what i wanna know is the wire i plugged in, is dubble sided, both male ends, if thats the case, where does the otherone plug into?

          off the top of my head the only sensors i can think of is. (back side of motor)
          * Knock sensor
          * Crank position sensor
          * alternator connector (voltage regulator?)
          * transmition connector (passanger side of car near the axle/diff)

            sensors

            i used my z34 as refference, and all wires are connected, as for the crank sensor (back of engine) that wire runs underneath the engine to the other side that connects to the module, purple & yellow wire. and as for all the sensors you mentioned, redz........you are correct, thank you for the info, much appreciated.
